What to expect..

Several times a year, Aro Ha proudly partners with engaging educators to accompany our award-winning retreats.

Sneh Roy is a globally renowned food writer and culinary educator whose work bridges traditional Indian vegetarian cooking with modern wellness living. Across her career, Sneh has developed hundreds of recipes for her popular website- Cook Republic- as well as for cookbooks, global brand partners and her cooking school in Sydney.

Sneh’s cooking focuses on nourishment that feels sustainable, joyful, and grounding. Her lessons and recipes are about exploring and celebrating real food - food that is unpretentious, fresh, plentiful and can be shared across a table with people you love.

Retreat guests will embark on a culinary journey that is both inspiring and accessible. Sneh’s sessions reveal how to enliven everyday meals through the thoughtful use of new ingredients, the artful balance of flavours, and a greater embrace of plant-forward cooking. Participants will discover simple yet transformative techniques to enhance both taste and nutrition, while reigniting their own passion for creating food that is as nourishing as it is delicious.

These highly engaging workshops are interwoven within Aro Ha’s world-renowned retreat programming. Guests will immerse in daily movement, mindfulness practices, sub-alpine hikes, daily massage, breathwork, nourishing plant-based cuisine and restorative sleep practices—all within one of the world's most spectacular natural settings.

From Spice To Stillness - Food, Rhythm & Restoration

Sneh Roy is a Sydney-based cookbook author, recipe developer, food stylist, photographer and creative force behind the much-loved food platform Cook Republic. Known for her vibrant, flavour-driven approach to cooking, Sneh has spent over two decades inspiring a global audience to embrace food that is both nourishing and deeply satisfying.

Born and raised in Mumbai, Sneh’s earliest memories are steeped in the colours, aromas and energy of India’s rich food culture. That foundation continues to shape her distinctive style—one that celebrates bold flavours, seasonal produce and a joyful, intuitive approach to cooking.

Launching Cook Republic in 2003, what began as a personal recipe archive evolved into an award-winning platform, earning accolades including Best Australian Blog and Best Lifestyle Blog, and recognition as one of Australia’s Top 5 Voices in Food & Wellbeing.

Sneh has contributed as a food columnist for ELLE Australia, served as Food Editor for Woolworths, and authored her debut cookbook Tasty Express. Her sought-after food photography and styling workshops have attracted participants from around the world, reflecting her reputation as both a creative and an educator.

At the heart of Sneh’s work is a deeply personal philosophy: food should be real, accessible and full of life. Her cooking leans plant-forward, shaped by her vegetarian upbringing and evolving into a pescatarian lifestyle, with a strong emphasis on balance, flavour and nourishment. Through her recipes, she shares not just how to cook, but how to reconnect with the pleasure of eating well.
